This Ummah Will Betray Ali After The Prophets Death

The holy prophet (ص) actually foretold in an authentic tradition that following his death, the Ummah would seize the rights of Imam Ali (ع) and betray him. This tradition is problematic for the nawasib who want to make it seem as though Saqifa was a legitimate process and that everyone’s rights were respected and that Imam Ali (ع) paid allegiance with no issues.

علي (عليه سلام) قال: إن مما عهد إليَّ النبي صلى الله عليه (وآله) وسلم أن الأمَّة ستغدر بي من بعده

Ali (as) said: 

The Holy Prophet (sawa) promised me that this Ummah will betray me after (his death).
