Here Imam Sadiq (as) quite plainly dismisses the batriyyah (those who do not disassociate firmly from the enemies if Islam) as having true love for the Ahlulbayt.
It was said to Imam al-Sadiq (as):
Bihar al-Anwar vol. 27 pg. 58
وقيل للصادق عليه السلام: إن فلانا يواليكم إلا أنه يضعف عن البراءة من عدوكم، فقال: هيهات كذب من ادعى محبتنا ولم يتبرأ من عدونا

So-and-so person (claims that he) loves you, but he is weak in disassociating himself from your enemies." So he (as) replied: "Liar is he who claims to love us, but doesn't reject our enemies.
