The hadith of the Two Successors (Khalifatayn)

The hadith of two successors is a thorn in the throats of the nawasib who purposefully try to distort the meaning of the hadith of two weighty things (thaqalayn) by misinterpreting it in such a way that the Ahlulbayt are not to be followed, but just respected and taken care of in the absence of the prophet.

This version of the narration uses clear, undeniable wording that the SUCCESSORS to the prophet are:

1) The book of Allah (azwj)
2) The progeny of the Prophet (sawas)

Prophet Mohammad (saww) said,

I am leaving behind among you, Two Successors (Caliphs). The Book of Allah (swt) and My AhlulBayt (house hold). And these two will never separate until they both reach me at the pond (of Kawthar in the hereafter).

Footnote: Hadith is Saheeh (Authentic).

The Prophet (saws) said:

I am leaving for you two Khalifas (successors), The Book of Allah, rope between the heavens and earth, and my Offspring, My Ahlulbayt. They Will not separate until they meet me at the pond (of Kawthar,

Sahih of Al-Jami Al Sagheer, Al-Albani, Vol. 1 Pg. 482, Hadith. 2457

Al-Albani says: It is a Saheeh (authentic).

Watch the video of Kamal Al Hayderi where he explains the hadith and brings a second source from Al Jami As Sagheer where it is considered authentic by Albani.
