Abu Hanifa on Worshipping Sandals


Narrated Saʻīd ibn ʻAbd al-Aziz, from Abū Ḥanifa, that he said:


“If a man was to worship these sandals intending to get closer to God through them, I would see no issue in that.

So for Sunnis prostrating on turbah is haram because its considered shirk, and seeking intercession is haram because its shirk. But worshipping Sandals is halal as long as your intentions are to get closer to god... interesting.

For those Sunnis who believe prostrating on Turbah is shirk, don't worry, he's just following Abu Hanifa's fatwa 😘
