Umar and his perversions

Abil Faraj ibn al Jawzi:

From Salim bin Abdallah, that Umar bin al-Khattab used to enter his hand in the anus of a camel, and say: "I'm afraid that I'll be asked; 'What's wrong with you?'"

It has been reported by Ibn Sa`d (in Tabaqat) and the narrators are trustworthy.

Ali Ibn Abdi l-Malik reported that Salim Ibn Abdillah said: “Umar Ibnu l-Khattab used to stick his hand into the butt (Dubur) of a camel and say: “I am afraid that people will ask me what is wrong with you.”

Yahya Ibn Sa’id reported that Salim Ibn Abdillah said: “Umar Ibnu l-Khattab used to stick his hand into the butt (Dubur) of a camel and say: “I am afraid that people will ask me what is wrong with you.”

Comment:

While at the time of Ibn Asakir, Ibn-ul-Jawzi and Al-Hindi the word “Dubur” (butt) was used, the innovators later made some falsifications. For example, they added a “Ta’ Marbutah” (دبرة) to the word and then claimed that Umar had put his hand into a wound (Dabarah) and not into the anus (Dubur), which is of course nonsensical.
